Inforetreiver/InfoPOEMS

SE We reviewed Inforetreiver in our PDA class in early November 2007. Designed mainly for PDA's Inforetreiver features practice guidelines, article review along with LOE-Level Of Evidence ratings, calculators, and 5 min. clinical consults. These features would be extremely helpful at bedside and practice setting consultations where one needs to make reference to evidence based medicine but doesn't have the desktop computer, laptop and remote Internet access. -End- SE

TL: I have played around with this database and really like the 5 minute clinical consult. I also have played around with some of the calculators and found them to be useful too.

PH: I really liked this database when I did the quizzes for our class. Having the calculators and 5 minute clincial consult available to use like that would be very helpful in clinical settings and will probably be very useful during rotations. I also used this to find some information that I needed for my patient interview in our PPL class. I would not have had much luck finding the information with most of the drug information resources we have used prior to this PDA class. I would probably have had to try and find the information from the primary literature using PubMed and it would have taken considerably longer.
